Swimmer on the track with Fremond

WA Olympic swimming hero Todd Pearson always dreamt of owning a top racehorse with his father Bob. But the dual gold medallist's first foray into ownership was anything but expected when he ventured to last year's Magic Millions Perth yearling sale. "I went to the sale to get Dad to sign some bank documents," Pearson [...]

A back to back race double today for the stable at Pinjarra

Congratulations to connections with the win of Binky Toy and Wicked Hunter today. The Snitzel gelding Binky Toy was having his third race start, coming off two second places at Ascot prior he was prime to win this race. Two more bought today at Inglis Classic Sale

At day two of the Inglis Classic Sale we were lucky enough to pick up two very nice colts. Our first buy is a colt by Group 1 winning stallion Artie Schiller (USA) out of an unraced Canny Lad mare, who is a half sister to Kensington Gardens, the dam of WA’s leading stallion Blackfriars. [...]

Parnham’s big decision

Trainer Neville Parnham is uncertain whether he will start WA Guineas winner Rommel in Saturday's Magic Millions 3YO Trophy (1200m) at Ascot. Parnham has paid up for the $100,000 race, but is giving serious consideration to running the Commands colt first-up against Disposition in the CS Hayes Stakes (1400m) at Flemington on February 21. Rommel's [...]

Parnham compared to Nash

In-form trainer Wez Hunter has paid a massive compliment to apprentice jockey Chris Parnham, comparing the young Western Australian to champion hoop Nash Rawiller. Parnham claimed his first significant success for his new master when he piloted Magnus Lad to victory in Sunday’s GBG Concrete and Construction Sale Quality (1205m), helping Hunter bring up the [...]

Congratulations Shelby Bowtell and Inok

It was great to see our former stable apprentice Shelby Bowtell win her first metropolitan race at Ascot yesterday when she booted home grand old campaigner Inok. Prior to yesterday’s win Shelby had ridden 11 provincial winners and had been placed five times in the city. Inok has been a competitive horse for the stable [...]
