Today we have six runners two in the first race for 2yos.

Race 1 – Run Ken is a horse that will make his mark in the future. He has shown promise in his trials and track work so expect improvement in this race.
I took him back to the trials on Monday over 400m with blinkers on and his effort was more than satisfactory. He will race with blinkers tomorrow.

Race 1 – The Blue Nipper is also showing promise in his trials and track work. His effort in his latest trial was very good sitting off speed but finishing strongly to run second.
He will be a more than useful racehorse going forward but at this stage he still has things to learn.

Race 2 – We have Kens Astar whose runs this campaign have been very promising. He found the 1100m last start a fraction to sharp for him but finished off well.
He has always shown above average ability but through setbacks has not been able to reach that promise shown as yet.
I think despite his wide draw of 8 of 8 he can get away with it and be very hard to beat. He is better than most of these horses he is meeting.

Race 3 – We have Military Service engaged. I would ignore his last start as he was in a race where the pace came down to snails pace mid race and he went from box seat to last by the corner.
They had sprinted and it didn’t allow him to get on to the race which stopped him from performing to his best ability. He can win this race tomorrow.

Race 4 – We have Via Laurentina who has had her issues but they all seemed to be resolved and I expect her to perform to her best and be right in the finish.
She has performed well in better company than this so I rate her a great each way prospect.

Race 4 – Theodora is also engaged in race four and has been impressive in her last couple of starts. Her win last start was super when she finished off full of running and won easily.
She can go on with it despite a class rise, however I’m now looking at a race on Wednesday and will decide a definite start this morning.
