Race 1- Stoney Bridge will be making his race debut on Saturday in race one over the 1300m. He has come on well since his trial last week when showing us some encouraging promise. He sat in off the speed after jumping smartly and then finish off well. This will be the tactic I would like to see from him on Saturday and going forward. He is still a little immature and developing however by riding him this way we may see him become a nice horse as a 3yo.

Paul Harvey will be riding him and he galloped him on Tuesday morning for me. He was impressed with his effort enough that he took the ride on Saturday.

He will be running into a nice type in Regal Gleam who looked impressive when winning on debut last week. There are a couple of others that have shown promise but I think he will acquit himself very well. I’m hoping he will be the one sitting in as I feel he will find the line well. It will all go well for him developing into a nice 3yo if we can educate him this way.

Race 1 – Victorious Lad will be racing on Saturday over the 1300m with blinkers added to his gear. He is a very promising type and I think he will improve with the blinkers. I scratched him on Wednesday to give him another few days from his last run and also try the blinkers on him in track work.

He will have to find a few lengths to beat Regal Gleam but maybe it won’t get as easier run in from this week.
I think we have strong each way claims with this guy.

Race 2 – Star Glitter resumes on Saturday in race two after a good trial last week and showing us he has improved off that to gallop strongly on Tuesday morning. Hopefully he will regain his 2yo form although he raced well last campaign with some good close up placings.
He should go well but might find a couple of these a bit sharp with the weight he has. However he should run well.

Race 2 – Vonus is racing on Saturday after an impressive maiden win against the older horses at Northam last week. He was a bit short of the track record for the 1000m when winning by 4 plus lengths. He had come on well from the first up run and has worked well leading into the race. Paul Harvey to ride as Jake is required for his father’s horse Stocks who will be hard to beat on its trial last week. However Vonus was that impressive last week he should give a big sight.

Race 4 – Top Show will be resuming on Saturday in race four over 1400m. She has come up well this time in and I’m expecting her to find her form that she had over the Belmont season last year. Her trial was very good and her work since has been excellent. We do find us in a smart field of 3yos and I have elected to run her over the 1400m first up so I guess she may be a little vulnerable. However despite the rivals that are in form gallopers and the resumption of other handy types I believe she can make her presence felt. I give her an each way chance and think she will have a good preparation.

Race 7 – Royal Rada will be racing on Saturday in the provincial final over 1400m. He ran well in the heat for this race when running 3rd off a short let up and has come forward since. He will find it a tuff ask from a wide gate but if he gets the right run I see him up to this grade of horse and will be finding the line.

Race 7 – Fabulistic is racing in the Provincial final as well and will also give a good sight. He ran well in his heat to run 2nd and followed up with a handy effort last Saturday in a stronger race. He is honest and expect him to perform at his level and can sneak a place.

Race 8 – Black Magic Miss put up a nice effort last start and is working towards a win. She will have to contend with a wide gate and a step to 1600m but she is up to the task if she can get a good enough run and not having to do it too tough. We know she will be running on as she seems to always find the line in the later part of the race.
