Karrakatta Plate day
Race 1 – Almachino has had numerous problems but last start and subsequent work gives us a little hope she can return to form.
If she doesn’t she will be looking at retirement.
Race 4 – Malibu Style is resuming and trialed well behind speedster Chinetti and got over Shengmu late. It was clearly the fastest trial of the day. Has improved off that and expected to give a good sight. He is a smart horse.
Race 5 – Rodeo Drive goes around in the Oaks only as I have prepared her for the race. She was going very well but disappointed last start. The distance maybe the factor she failed but prior to that she had indicated she could get it.
Hopefully she can be ridden quietly and finish the races off.
Race 5 – Boutique has thrived since her last start and I fully expect this filly to go very well at this journey. She looks fantastic and has done very well leading into the race. I expect her to run in the money.
Race 7 – George N Ernie is running in the Karrakatta Plate and been happy with his form. He has sound form line around Saxophonist, London Line, Chantski and Showy Chloe so from a good gate in 5 he can be around the place.
Race 7 – Kentucky Lass has been set for this race and her work on Tuesday was fantastic. She has the right draw in 2 and should get a sweet run. I have added blinkers and she will be ridden forward from that gate. She can cause an upset as she has form around London Line and Saxophonist.
Race 7 – Light up The Sky has the talent to run right up to these but has been in work for a while. She hit the line strongly in the Magic Millions over 1100m last start after being held up. She is holding form and expected to be around the finish again.
York today finally saw Solar Drift win his first race. He has been a little frustrating but good for Santo Guagliardo to get a win from him.
He is going to the dispersal sale in a few weeks so just might be a good but for someone.
Back in work
The stable has some of the better horses back in training being set for winter campaigns including Dominating. Bass Strait, Top Show, Dancing Express, Vital Importance and Crown Lawyer.
